On a brisk winters day we headed down to Rickmansworth Canal to get a small taste of what life on the canal is like.
We then climbed on board a narrow boat and went for a trip along the canal.
Expertly navigated by our guide, who was all smiles and clearly in the festive spirit!
We then headed down to the residential end and met some of the locals.
Some, like this guy, have lived on boats for most of their lives and travelled all over Englands waterways.
And he wouldn’t change a thing!
